Japanese yatate portable writing set, formed with an ink reservoir and tubular brush holder. The metal surface has a silver-coloured finish and is decorated with an aoi-style triple-hollyhock kamon.

The triple-hollyhock design is closely associated with the Tokugawa, but the presence of the crest alone should not be taken as evidence of Tokugawa family ownership or provenance.
