Object: Japanese wooden lantern in the snow-viewing (yukimi) tradition, constructed with carefully joined timber and translucent white shoji-style panels.

The broad roof and architectural form draw on the familiar Japanese garden-lantern aesthetic, translated here into a wooden interior light. When illuminated, the paper panels diffuse the light softly and emphasise the structure and joinery.

A particularly effective object for a Japanese interior, display room or collection setting.

Electrical: Wired for 240V UK use according to the original Yamazakura catalogue record. Electrical equipment should be checked by a suitably qualified person before use.
