Object: Unusual Japanese military flag sword, a specialised form associated with the carrying or display of a flag.

The earlier Yamazakura catalogue records this type as rarely encountered and notes that a comparable flag sword is illustrated on the cover of a Jim Dawson reference work. The reference is retained as useful catalogue context without asserting that this individual example is the illustrated sword.

Condition: Previously catalogued as in good overall condition with the blade described as excellent. Please study the photographs carefully; they form an integral part of the description.

Please contact Yamazakura regarding suitable shipping and insurance arrangements.
