A pair of Ko & Otsu Swords , first issued in August 1899 . The Ko was intended for cavalry NCOs, the shortened Otsu for all men and NCOs in the military police (kempeitai), army master sergeants in the engineers , infantry and artillery . both in good condition , ko showing minor surface damage to chrome plating saya.
