Object: Japanese katana-kake (sword stand) constructed from deer antler.
The stand uses naturally branching antler to support and display a Japanese sword, giving it a distinctive sculptural character. The earlier Yamazakura listing identified the material specifically as sika deer (Cervus nippon); this is retained as the previous catalogue identification rather than a zoological determination from the photographs alone.
No firm period or maker attribution is asserted. The sword shown in the existing photographs is for display only and is not included.
