Pair of Japanese wooden Buddhist altar candle stands, each arranged to hold multiple candles.

The earlier Yamazakura catalogue described these as antique pieces from a Japanese temple. That provenance and dating have not been independently verified here, so they are not presented as established facts.

The pair is retained as a decorative and devotional example of Japanese Buddhist altar furnishing. Please refer to the photographs for construction, surface condition and signs of age and use.
