The earlier Yamazakura catalogue also identifies a family mon on the sword as associated with the Takeda. That identification is retained as a previous catalogue attribution and should not be interpreted as documented ownership by a particular Takeda-family individual without supporting provenance.

The survival of the tassel is an important feature of the ensemble and gives the sword considerably more display presence than an incomplete dress example.

Condition: The earlier catalogue described the tassel as being in very good condition. Please study the photographs carefully; they form an integral part of the description.
