These are beautifully hand carved, and very detailed - two mini works of art, which we are delighted to own. They show signs (on the rear faces) of being part of some unknown structure or item of furniture, and as this is not visible from the front, it does not affect their displayability in any way. In fact, it adds to their obvious authenticity, and provides a hint of mystery about their previous life and existence! as with all my purchases from Yamazakura, I am very pleased - Thank you!
